The Journal is published under financial support of Perm region Administration. The abstracts of papers from «Russian Journal of Biomechanics» are published in «Applied Mechanics Reviews».

The Journal publishes peer reviewed articles related to the principal topics in biomechanics. This Journal was established to improve the information interchange between specialists on biomechanics from Russia and other countries. Biomechanics is defined as the mechanics of living tissues and biomaterials. The Journal presents original papers of a wide biomechanical profile. A balance of biomechanical and medical problems is the principal aspect of the Journal activities.

PRINCIPAL SUGGESTED TOPICS:
  • General problems and methods of biomechanics
  • Rheological properties of living tissues
  • Biomaterials and prostheses
  • Dental biomechanics
  • Human movement analysis
  • Musculoskeletal biomechanics
  • Cardiovascular biomechanics
  • Biomechanics of breathing
  • Sport biomechanics
  • Tissue and cellular biomechanics

PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPTS

No page limit is imposed, however publication of substantially large papers will be dependent on the importance of the topic and the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.

Typewritten, double spaced papers must be typed on one side of standard letter size paper in English. The cover page must include the title of the manuscript, full name, title and academic degree of each author, telephone, fax, e-mail and complete mailing address. The corresponding author must be identified to whom all the correspondences should be addressed. A maximum of 10 of the most appropriate key words must appear on the cover page.

The manuscript should follow the usual sequence of sections (Abstract; Introduction; Materials and Methods; Results and Discussion; Acknowledgements (if any); References; Appendix (if any); tables; caption for figures; figures).

An abstract containing of approximately 150 words of factual information must be typed on a separate page.

References must be numbered, typed completely and referred in the text in squared brackets.
